According to the New England Journal of Medicine, the odds of having an accident increase by 400 percent when the driver is on a cell phone. The same study says that talking on a cell phone while driving is nearly as dangerous as driving drunk. Teen drivers’ lack of experience makes it more dangerous. “If a teen sways over center line or off to the right their tendency is to jerk rather than gradually pull back.” |
