My childs elemantary school does not have a GATE or advance program.

Why do some schools have programs that challenge children who are advanced or gifted and schools that don't. I currently have my child in a public school and am seriously considering pulling him out and placing him in a charter or other public school that will meet his needs. What is the best way to find out which schools have Gate programs or challenging programs ?

I would expect that every public school would have a program for those who need extra help and those who are gifted. I would look at the county board of education website to learn more. Good luck.
