Service projects

A am interested in doing some service projects with my school age and younger kids this fall. Any one have neat ideas for things we could do over a weekend that would teach my kids the value of service and gratitude for what they have (which is a lot!)? Thanks for brainstorming ideas.

Hey-- my kids are older, but I have always tried to keep them involved in helping others. Our church has a day of service in the fall with multiple opportunities to help-- so I bet there are churches in your area with organized volunteer days. Also check out this volunteer opportunities website for other ideas!
