Holidays from School

What do you all do when there is a day off from school (or several in a month) and you work? II'm a single mom, my son is 12, so he can fend for himself for a couple of hours, but not all day! Do you swap off with other moms? Take your child to work with you? :) Work from home? (But still, how bored is my son if I'm working all day upstairs?) Any ideas?

I just started working in July, my 4 kids either stay home (oldest is 14) and I put them to work before the tv or computer can be turned on (I have to trust them). I call from work frequently, let them call me. I've even left my cell on speaker so they could talk to me whenever. I have a very easy-going boss. Once I brought my 8 year old to work, she sat quietly doing her homework, and I let her watch me do some computer work...gave her a new respect for me! I don't swap with other moms because right now time off is too precious. Good luck!
