Summer Homework
Millions of kids this summer didn't get much of a break from homework. At the insistence of their parents, they were reading and writing and studying all summer long, at least in part to avoid forgetting what they learned in school last spring.

I think it's important for your kids to stay in "learning mode" during the summer -- especially with reading. My daughter had three books to read this summer along with two projects. That was a lot. She procrastinated and learned an important lesson.
