I lost my husband 9 months ago and have 2 boys one is a diabetic and one is mildly autistic and obviously had enough obstacles in their lives before this happened but I would love any advice from anyone on dealing with our feelings of loss and the lonely feelings, I feel at such a loss sometimes because I feel like I have no idea how to take the place of a father for two boys.

Now that I'm divorced and working full-time, I am really wanting (and needing) my kids to pitch in more around the house. The problem is they are still very upset and angry about the divorce and give me a hard time saying "it's not fair that they have to do such and such when they didn't have to do it before". My standard answer is that life is not always fair and that I've had to return to work and take on many more responsibilities myself. I end up being the bad cop while their father takes them to do all the fun things and I make them do their homework, chores, etc.

Does anyone have some practical advice for my situation?

As a newly single mom of two young kids (ages 6 and 9), I am struggling with balancing time with my kids, a new job and household responsibilities not to mention trying to get in a little "me" time. I used to be very organized and now I'm struggling to keep all of my balls in the air. I do have some family and friends that can help out but it's still a big challenge getting everything done and maintaining my sanity. If anyone has any suggestions, I am ready to hear them!
