Once again, the end of the school year always surprises me!  It was like this when I wasn't single too, so I can't blame it on that!  My kids have one more week to go, and I am amazed at the amount of stuff that gets stuffed into the end of the year.  Along with the recitals and concerts and playoffs that happen in their off-school lives, there are odd projects, in-class parties, out of class parties, tutorials, book buy backs, etc., etc.

I would not classify myself as an organized person, but I usually get everything taken care of in its' own fashion.  I always find myself catching things as they are sliding by me this time of year.  I guess part of it is the transition into summer, and thinking about all that brings, before I finish doing everything I need to do for school.  Just like my kids!

I am having a difficult time co-parenting with my ex-husband because he often uses poor judgement.  While he loves our kids, he seems to make questionable decisions in regard to their safety and discipline.  For example, he let our 10 year old operate a lawn mower and to make matters worse, our son had suffered a mild concussion earlier that day from a bike accident.  He also thinks our 6 year old daughter should be able to see Spiderman 3 (a PG-13 movie).  He seems to always take the easy way out and try to be their buddy rather than their parent.

I've talked to him about this matter and he just gets defensive and acts like I'm making a big deal out of nothing.  Does anyone have some advice, suggestions????
