Hello, I am a single mom of 2 and I find that I am always alone for the hospital/er visits! I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on how to find a few minutes for myself while in the hospital awaiting out come of incodent? I would greatfully appreciate any suggestions that are out there! I know as parents we are sopose to be the "STRONG" one, but when you can not explain to your 3 yr. old why the television has fallen onto him and he now has a broken leg it kinda gets to you alittle!! I also have a 8 yr. old who recently in the last month had to visit the hospital to have surgery done to close/repair eardrum and could not explain to her why this has happened to her!!! I just feel so very alone in these situations and was wondering what I can do for myself to prepare for these trips and questions! Thank You so much for any help, or suggestions you may have.

I was just talking with another single mom friend about delegation of duties between the parents-- divorced or not.  And maybe it is just a genetic or gender difference, but the moms are always working on the details.  I tend to be the one making the trip back and forth between the houses for the forgotten or "can't live without" items.  It's the little stuff that matters to the kids, so it matters to me.  It's a major consideration in deciding where to buy a house for me-- I don't want to be too far, because I will be the one back and forth the most!
