Today is the first time in weeks I'm on my computer, I've had a very sick time of my first round of chemo therapy.  They couldn't finish, and I guess my body needs to rest in order to resume.

However, my William still amazes me.  In a brief phone call today my daughter tells me William is in a snow board competition.  Now why I'm mentioning this is William has never competed or practiced or even prepared for a snowbird event.  He entered, with dad's permission was accepted and is there today...

Once his dad got to the place he realized it was a pretty big event, television, radio, sponsors etc.   He asked the level of competitors and they said intermediate.  William let them know, now they have a beginner.  My grandson who knows no boundaries and is determined to try new things.   I don't know how he did..or if there are any photos, however, here is the kid, who did a segment on my blog...orders pizza for the family...cancels school, and then competes in a snow event because he can.

Sometimes, the only thing holding you back from life it you...here I may be able to learn something from my thirteen year old William..

Enjoy my sweet grandson..be safe..grandma loves you....

William my wonderful grandson..who wrote on my bloc and received the most comments of any every written..is a wonderful kid..however, creative in his ability to get in trouble.  Last week because he didn't finish his homework, he called the bus garage and canceled his bus.  Told the driver he was not feeling well.  Went out to wait for the bus came in and said mom it never came.  Thus, a day off.  Sherry caught on quickly made him fess up and he was promptly appropriately punished.

William, although a good son, has yet to learn about manipulation for his own benefit.  Sherry never lets it get by if she catches it. However, we wonder is this a phase..and by standing consistent will she prevail?  She also explains to William the importance of the truth. And has asked would he like it if mom lied or disappointed him.  It seems like she's making progress and I wonder are there other moms out there battling lie verses the truth?

How do they handle their children when it happens.  Sherry sometimes grounds for a period of time, takes away the computer and games etc.  Tries to make sure the punishment fits the crime..
