all the girls on myspace are dressed half naked & sexy. what's with this? and theyre language is terrible. i don't think there should be myspace at all. kids are meeting kids that are a bad influence on myspace. my daughter can't wait to get home to her myspace, instead of reading a good book or homework. it's a constant battle to get her to bed at night & she can't get up for school.

Your show just aired on KCRA 3, I thought it was informative and necessary, providing the kind of information parents need to have to educate their children.. Absolutely heartbreaking!! Thank you for all of your work and for the families sharing their experience, it's the only way to make a real difference!!!!

I am surprise by the ingnorance of the parents and
the stupidity of the teatchers 90% in U.S.A.
I would consider the rest 10 % beter than europe.

Alright I just caught the last half of "The Internet Generation". I'm glad that you are bringing awareness to this problem and it is a problem. There are kids getting into trouble, being tricked ect. However your methods of helping protect the kids are not that great. Spy on them, set ground rules and stick to them, limit the time on the net....
Limiting time on the net and keeping the computers out of the rooms is important but did anyone talk to the kids on what they want to hear from their parents? Did anyone ask the kids their understanding on the issues and why its important to be careful on the net?
Parents need to educate their kids on the dangers of the internet, trying to keep them off the internet isn't going to work, we've grown up and made the net a part of our lives.
create an open line of communication with your kids and don't harass them or judge them about their decisions. Parents need to let their kids that if its 4 in the morning on a school night and they are at a party they are not suppose to be at, drunk and can't get home that they can call their parents for that ride home. Sure there may be some punishment due but that night, it should just be a ride home.
kids are incredibly smart and stupid at the same time. Give them credit for all the good things they can do and have faith in them but at the same time remember they need guidance.
I'm not an expert on any of this but what upset me about the program was the there was no answers to the problems and the kids, the one thats that need the tools to keep themselves safe were never asked how to protect themselves.
If its a show directed to the parents to help protect their kids, then have the kids tell these parents how they want to be helped. it comes down to parents just don't understand the younger generations and need help in properly communicating to the kids.

I watched this program last night. I could not believe what I heard and saw. What is wrong with parents these days. This is the generation of the lazy parent. Kids have no reason to spend their time on the computer and no reason to have their profile on the internet. Why are parents allowing them to do this? It is a simple solution to keep our kids safe from the online predator. Don't allow them on the computer unless it's for school purposes. What ever happened to days when parents actually pay attention to their child. I am a parent myself and there is no way in hell I will allow my son to waist his time on the computer. There are many more positive things a child could do. The way I see it, parents today are lazy and completely stupid.

Remember everyone, the internet is serious business. Myspace is evil and every person on message boards and chat rooms are pedophiles. Try to control every aspect of what your child does on the computer, because you know better than they do, right?

I guarantee that your kids are doing worse things at school than they could ever be doing online, you give your kids too much credit, most kids can barely turn a computer on let alone give out important information and get preyed on by a pedophile. Perhaps things like that wouldn't happen in the first place if parents educated their kids so they would know better than to do stupid things like that. Start taking responsibility for your children instead of using the internet as a scapegoat.

If you didn't raise your child well enough to use a computer unrestricted, you need to take a look at yourself because theres gonna be times in this world when you will not be able to control Johnnys every move. But at that point we can just take the Brian Shelton root and not even let them out of the house. You all need to look outside of your censored excuse for what you see on telivision and see the positives. Also not letting them on the computer is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in a while. Your kids don't know about computers that's gonna be a huge downfall in the professional world.
